Map Versioning

Our system now supports versioning for each map. This allows you to create and manage multiple versions of the same map.

Adding a New Map Version​

To add a new version of a map, refer to the map versioning page for detailed instructions.

Viewing Different Map Versions​

To view different versions of a map, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Map Detail page for the desired map.
  2. In the versioning section, select the version you want to view from the dropdown menu.
  3. The map data for the selected version will be displayed.

Note that this only displays the data for the selected version and does not switch the active version of the map. You will also see a warning message indicating that you are viewing a non-active map version.

Switching to a Different Map Version​

To switch the active version of a map, follow these steps:

  1. In the versioning section, select the version you want to switch to from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on the "Set as Active" button that appears next to the dropdown.
  3. Confirm the change when prompted by the system.

Editing Version Note​

To edit the version note, follow these steps:

  1. In the versioning section, select the version you want to edit from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on the "Edit" button that appears next to the version note.
  3. Enter your changes in the input field that appears.
  4. Click on the "Save" button that appears next to the input field to save your changes.

Deleting a Map Version​

To delete a specific version of a map, follow these steps:

  1. In the versioning section, select the version you want to delete from the dropdown menu.
  2. Note that you cannot delete the active version of a map. If the version you want to delete is active, you must first switch to a different version before deleting it.
  3. Click on the delete icon that appears next to the dropdown.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted by the system.

Note that deleting a map version will permanently remove all data associated with that version of the map.
